We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regulatory Engineer to ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, standards, and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and regulatory authorities to secure approvals, maintain compliance, and support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local and international engineering regulations, codes, and standards.
Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documentation, permits, and technical reports.
Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on compliance matters.
Monitor regulatory changes and advise the organization on their impact.
Support engineering and project teams in obtaining statutory approvals.
Conduct compliance audits and identify regulatory risks.
Maintain accurate records of permits, licenses, and regulatory submissions.
Participate in inspections, audits, and regulatory meetings.
Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies and procedures.
Provide technical guidance on regulatory requirements throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Petroleum, or a related discipline).
Minimum of 3–7 years of relevant experience in regulatory engineering or compliance.
Strong knowledge of engineering regulations, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
Experience working with regulatory agencies within the oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors is an advantage.
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
COREN registration or eligibility.
Membership of relevant professional bodies.
Knowledge of ISO management systems and HSE regulations.
Experience with permit acquisition and regulatory approvals.
