Job Summary:
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Software Developer who will play a critical role in developing and supporting enterprise applications, digital platforms, and integrated financial solutions. The successful candidate must possess strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working within fast-paced and security-conscious environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and digital solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop APIs and integrate third-party systems and financial platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for improved performance.
• Ensure software security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in system architecture design and code reviews.
• Maintain technical documentation and system reports.
• Support application upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years proven experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, PHP, JavaScript, or .NET.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within the banking or financial services sector is an added advantage.
