Job Title: Wellbore Engineer
We are currently recruiting a highly experienced and result-driven Wellbore Engineer for a reputable organization in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing well engineering activities while ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, cost optimization, and adherence to industry standards.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in drilling and well engineering operations, with the ability to provide engineering support across different phases of well delivery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop well designs, drilling programs, and operational procedures for drilling and completion activities
- Monitor well operations to ensure compliance with approved engineering standards and safety regulations
- Conduct well planning, risk assessments, and technical evaluations for drilling projects
- Coordinate with drilling, subsurface, production, and HSE teams to achieve operational objectives
- Analyze drilling performance and recommend improvements for cost reduction and operational efficiency
- Ensure proper well integrity management throughout the drilling lifecycle
- Support troubleshooting and provide technical solutions during well operations
- Prepare engineering reports, operational documentation, and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and international best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or any related Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Wellbore Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry
- Strong experience in drilling engineering, well planning, and well operations
- Proficiency in drilling and well engineering software applications
- Sound understanding of well integrity, drilling fluids, casing design, and completion operations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and high-pressure operational environments
- Professional certifications and offshore experience will be an added advantage
