About the Role
The Coating Supervisor will oversee all pipeline coating activities to ensure that corrosion protection systems are applied in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising surface preparation, coating application, inspection, repair, and documentation activities during pipeline construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pipeline coating activities including mainline coating, field joint coating, bends, valves, and tie-ins.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ISO 21809, NACE, SSPC, and ASTM.
- Monitor surface preparation and coating application processes.
- Coordinate coating inspections, testing, and repairs.
- Ensure coating quality meets project specifications and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of coating activities.
- Promote adherence to HSE policies and procedures on site.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in any discipline.
- Proven experience as a Coating Inspector or Coating Supervisor within pipeline construction projects.
- Practical experience in pipeline wrapping and coating operations.
- Strong understanding of corrosion protection systems and coating standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage.
